The Great Nosh Brings Jewish Food Fest to Governors Island

A new food festival celebrating global Jewish cuisine is coming to Governors Island on June 23.

Dishes will span Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi, and other Jewish culinary traditions.

Expect everything from khachapuri to fideos to freshly baked challah.

The event is curated by Kat Romanow of The Wandering Chew and organized by Great Performances.

In addition to food, there will be storytelling sessions and cultural talks.

The goal is to spotlight both heritage and innovation in Jewish cooking.

It’s a one-day celebration of flavour, identity, and community.

Tickets and more info are available on the event’s website.

Magic Hour Rooftop Goes Full Bloom for Summer

The rooftop is now decked out in oversized florals, pink-and-purple hues, and whimsical garden décor.

The installation is open now and runs throughout the season.

Daniel Boulud to Open New Restaurants in NYC Skyscrapers

At One High Line in West Chelsea, he’s planning a fine dining spot and a more casual outpost.

Both spaces are being designed by renowned interior architect Martin Brudnizki.

Downtown, Boulud will open a new concept at 425 Park Avenue, taking over the former Four Seasons space.

These additions mark a new chapter for one of NYC’s most influential chefs.

Both projects are expected to open in the coming months.

La Grenouille Reimagined: Classic Glamour, New Concept

Midtown’s iconic La Grenouille has officially been rebranded as part of the La Bonne Vie restaurant group.

While the haute French menu has been simplified, classic dishes like Dover sole and soufflés remain.

Prices have become more accessible under the new casual-fine format.

The shift aims to honour tradition while inviting a broader crowd.

Some loyal patrons are embracing the change, while others remain nostalgic.
