NYC Scores Two Spots on Condé Nast’s “Best New Restaurants” List

Bungalow: 24 1st Ave, New York, NY 10009

Two NYC standouts have just been named among the world’s best new restaurants by Condé Nast Traveller’s 2025 Hot List.

Dishes like Yogurt Kababs, Shrimp Balchao Cones, and Lamb Tellicherry Fry show off the country's regional diversity with flair.

Even the cocktails join the fun—like a rum-milk punch topped with toasted Parle-G crumble.

Le Veau d’Or, a storied Upper East Side French bistro dating back to 1937, has been revived by the Frenchette and Le Rock team.

The $125 prix fixe features classic French dishes like Frog’s Legs and Goujonettes, prepared with Paris-level precision.

Both restaurants are drawing praise from major critics and publications, and they couldn’t be more different in style.

New Food Hall Coming to Former Lord & Taylor Building

Shaver Hall sure to bring bites & vibes to Lord & Taylor: Instagram

A massive new food hall is headed to Midtown’s iconic Lord & Taylor building at 424 Fifth Avenue.

Shaver Hall will span 35,000 square feet inside the historic space, now owned by Amazon.

The lineup will include 11 curated food stalls with a mix of upscale and inventive concepts.

Expect an omakase spot by Michelin-starred chef BK Park and a steakhouse called Tallow.

Other highlights include a modern bodega and a wine and cheese bar with a conveyor belt.

Shaver Hall aims to go beyond the typical food hall with live entertainment and immersive design.

The space is named after Dorothy Shaver, the pioneering former president of Lord & Taylor.

The opening is planned for later this year and promises to be a Midtown destination.

Guy Fieri Names His Favorite NYC Pizza Spot

In a recent video with Connecticut TikTok duo Sistersnacking, Fieri said New Haven-style pizza deserves its own category.

He didn’t hold back his thoughts on New York slices either.

Fieri declared that even a mediocre slice in NYC beats most pizza anywhere else.

He named Kesté Pizza e Vino in the Financial District as his personal favorite in the city.

The restaurant is run by Roberto Caporuscio, who Fieri praised as a top pizza expert nationwide.

Hart’s Team to Open Oyster Bar in Former Bar Meridian Space

Prospect Heights is getting a new seafood spot from one of Brooklyn’s most beloved restaurant teams.

The team behind Hart’s, The Fly, and Cervo’s is moving in with a brand-new oyster bar.

Nialls Fallon, Nick Perkins, and Leah Campbell are leading the project.

They’ll be joined by Gillian Graham, chef at Hart’s and The Fly, and Taylor Ward, the group’s wine director.

The concept doesn’t have a name yet, but it’s expected to open later this year.

Expect fresh oysters, a thoughtful wine list, and the kind of warm, intimate vibe this crew is known for.

NADC Burger Makes Its NYC Debut in SoHo

Not a Damn Chance Burger: Making noise from Joe Rogan to Denver

Austin’s beloved NADC Burger is about to make its NYC debut this spring.

Their menu focuses on a simple yet delicious double stack of American wagyu beef, American cheese, grilled onions, pickles, jalapeños, and secret sauce on a toasted potato roll.

They also offer twice-fried fries with chipotle-peppered ketchup, or you can go all-in with the "beast mode" upgrade.

For dessert, indulge in brown butter chocolate chip cookies.

The new SoHo location at 25 Cleveland Place will feature a 50-seat outdoor patio and murals by local artist Jappy Agoncillo.

The space will have a skate-shop-inspired vibe, with a corner dedicated to NADC merchandise.

Expect exclusive items like a vanilla milkshake that you can’t get anywhere else.
