🚕 Mr. Lyan’s Seed Library Arrives on Park Avenue South

And Santo Taco Expands to Greenwich Village with Margaritas

Good Morning NY!

Fall brings bold flavors and exciting openings to NYC.

Tribeca welcomes Musaafer, the Michelin-starred Indian restaurant from Houston, featuring private dining, a subterranean bar, and a menu inspired by a 100-day journey across India.

Mexico City’s two-Michelin-starred Pujol comes to the Financial District for a limited 12-night residency this November, with an eight-course tasting menu.

Seed Library by Mr. Lyan debuts at Hotel Park Ave, offering creative, sustainable cocktails in a relaxed setting.

Santo Taco expands to Greenwich Village with margaritas, an open kitchen, and more space for diners.

Hudson Yards gains Limusina, a three-level restaurant serving bold Mexican cuisine and inventive cocktails.

This fall, NYC diners can explore immersive, world-class dining experiences across the city.

Musaafer Brings Michelin-Starred Indian Flavors to Tribeca

The restaurant is helmed by founders Mithu and Shammi Malik, with Executive Chef Mayank Istwal leading the kitchen.

Its name, “Musaafer,” means “traveler” in Hindi and Urdu, reflecting Istwal’s 100-day journey across India to develop the menu.

The NYC space spans 10,000 square feet across two levels, featuring private and semi-private dining rooms, a subterranean bar named “Saaqi,” and a chef’s studio experience.

Design elements celebrate Indian heritage, including carved glass, hand-painted panels, lotus chandeliers, and a mirrored room of thousands of hand-cut mirrors.

The menu showcases signature Houston dishes like lychee ceviche, beef vindaloo, coriander shrimp, and butter chicken, alongside new NYC-exclusive items such as nihari birria tacos and chaanp.

A creative beverage program complements the food, offering cocktails, wine, and a dedicated gin and tonic selection.

Musaafer promises an immersive culinary journey, blending tradition, innovation, and luxury in the heart of Tribeca.

Mexico City’s Pujol Comes to NYC for a Limited 12-Night Run

New York diners are about to get a rare taste of one of the world’s most celebrated restaurants.

The pop-up will take place from November 11 through November 22, 2025, at WSA, located at 161 Water Street.

Each evening will feature two seatings, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., giving guests the chance to experience Pujol’s signature dishes.

The residency marks the restaurant’s 25th anniversary, making the New York stop a fitting celebration of its global influence.

An eight-course tasting menu will be served, with favorites like mole madre and smoked elotes likely on the lineup.

Reservations open October 1 on Resy, priced at $295, with an optional $195 beverage pairing available.

Seed Library by Mr. Lyan Arrives in NYC This Fall

The new location will open this fall inside Hotel Park Ave at 444 Park Avenue South.

This marks Mr. Lyan’s first NYC venture and only his second U.S. outpost, following his celebrated work in London and Washington, D.C.

Seed Library will join forces with Renwick Hospitality, the team behind Lindens, Foxtail, and ART Rooftop, to bring the concept to life.

The bar is known for its focus on sustainability, creativity, and flavor experimentation, with a more relaxed and organic vibe compared to Lyan’s other projects.

Alongside the bar, the hotel will also debut a new restaurant, Park Rose, opening on October 23.

Together, they promise to elevate the neighborhood’s cocktail and dining scene.

Santo Taco Expands to Greenwich Village with Bigger Space and Margaritas

The new location at 94 University Place, near East 12th Street, will be nearly 1,400 square feet, offering more room for both seating and standing diners.

Unlike the smaller Nolita shop, this space will include an open kitchen, giving guests a peek at the action behind their favorite tacos.

The menu will feature Santo Taco’s much-loved steak trompo tacos, along with an exciting new addition—margaritas and Mexican beers.

Owner Santiago Perez, best known for co-founding Cosme, brings his Mexico City roots to the concept, blending authenticity with a casual, neighborhood vibe.

This expansion shows how quickly Santo Taco has built a following, moving from a single Nolita storefront to a Village hotspot in just months.

Greenwich Village taco lovers now have something new to look forward to this fall.

Limusina Rolls Into Hudson Yards With Bold Mexican Flavors

Quality Branded, the team behind hotspots like Bad Roman and Twin Tails, has opened Limusina at Ninth Avenue and 34th Street, right on the edge of Hudson Yards.

Its name pays homage to the building’s past life as a parking garage, with design details that mix industrial grit with sleek modern touches.

The menu celebrates a wide range of Mexican cuisine without tying itself to a single region.

Highlights include lobster al pastor, Yucatan red snapper, pork shank carnitas, and a short rib quesabirria.

Seafood lovers can also dig into raw bar selections and fresh aquachiles.

On the drinks side, expect inventive cocktails like a Tajin Martini, a frozen Vampiro, and playful riffs on margaritas.

With its bold design and diverse menu, Limusina is set to be a new Midtown dining destination.
